Workout Lab

Your space to take action.

What is Workout Lab? It’s not a gym, that’s for sure. Is it a person, place, or thing? All of the above. It’s the people who take action, but it’s also a place to take action, and it’s the tools (things) that help us take action on creating our own fitness and health goals.

Together, my client and I took all his scattered visions and proposals and lined them up into a well-thought through brand identity, looking at the people we serve, and how to plan for a brand expansion in years to come.

Workout Lab

The previous logo was ‘ok but not great’ said the client. It didn’t embody his vision of an inclusive space for more than just working out. So this Boston-based trainer and scientist reached out to bring his vision to life and open his own unique gym. We started with the basics, colors, words, a mission statement, and inspiration, and from there, worked out a strategy. That strategy led to some of the necessities in this logo, such as being able to portray modules, showing range or variety, and referring to working out without showing the stereotypical dumbbell. We built out the ‘anti-equinox’ of brands full of color and symbolism, utilizing the gear to represent the balance between exercise and science.
